Maple Bacon Quiche with Duck Eggs

1 pre-made 9-inch pie crust
8 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup maple syrup
3 duck eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper


1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and black pepper.

3. In another bowl, lightly beat the duck eggs.

4. Add the milk, cream, and maple syrup to the eggs and whisk until well combined.

5. Stir in the grated cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.

6. Pour the egg mixture into the flour mixture and stir until smooth.

7. Gently pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust.

8. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.

9. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool and firm for 5-10 minutes.
